Major Nelson is a very excited individual and in our case, one of the hottest sites for Xbox news, stories, and updates has made a move that has gotten some serious gamers, very nervous indeed! The particular blog MajorNelson.com has sparked the attention of tech enthusiast and avid gamers from here to Timbuktu. The smartest thing at this point, is to ask ourselves exactly what proof we have that they, and "they" being Microsoft, has actually given us. Some may answer with a "Hey pal, it was leaked?". To which I would respond with, do you even know what that means? A leaked image or piece of information isn't anything more than speculation and hear-say. Unless Microsoft has held a conference or released the information publicly, there isn't any reason to be getting our panties bunched up!
A wonderfully designed touch, if you want to throw a friggin' wrench into things!! |
Some people who have taken part in the rumor mill have it dead set in their minds that it will be announced at E3. It makes complete sense from a business point of view, to further the project however possible to get it on the shelves by the holiday season of 2013. Looking at the same side of the mill, Sony's PS4 isn't far enough along to be released by our awaited November deadline. Which means that my projection for Microsoft and Sony to battle for the lead in 2013 sales, seems to lead toward the 720 taking the number 1 slot position.
Granted, my stance on Sony and their line of products, I believe that any smart business man can benefit from setting back to wait and see how your opponent handles themselves. And knowing that Microsoft could possibly not even show their face at E3 (most likely will be there), they could also perform one of the Gaming Industries best belly flops! With the rush on their best selling product, in hopes to take the spotlight, they're may very well be issues. If that were to happen, Sony could easily perfect their own line-up and take the gold medal in the 2013 sales race.
Another thing, I think it's down right funny that Microsoft's playing their "And it's on..." card. Looks an awful lot like they are trying to be like Apple with their witty play on words, but I digress. Combining the MajorNelson point mentioned earlier and Micro's "And it's on..." quote, Does Not Add Up to We're Announcing the NextBox!
Moral to the story, Microsoft and Sony will probably show up to E3. They may or may not reveal anything new. Microsoft may get the upper hand, and they may Not! Stick to the facts people and we can all go home happy.
