THQ succumbs to bankruptcy, dissolves

Even after THQ's relatively successful Humble Bundle earlier this year, THQ announced today that it would be dissolving and selling off its more popular franchises to other studios.
THQ's CEO and president, Brian Farrell and Jason Rubin respectively, sent out a letter today to its employees announcing the decision. The letter detailed the specifics of the bankruptcy, who would be acquiring what assets, and a personal note to all THQ employees.
According to the letter, the aquisiciations were such:

Sega (Bayonetta, Sonic) agreed to purchase Relic (Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40k).
Koch Media (Dead Island, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) agreed to purchase Volition (Saint's Row, Red Faction) and Metro (Metro: 2033).
Crytek (Crysis) agreed to purchase Homefront (Homefront).
Take 2 (Grand Theft Auto, Borderlands) agreed purchase Evolve (a Turtle Rock Studios project trademarked last year).
Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 3) agreed to purchase THQ Montreal and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

For a transcript of the full letter, check out this Polygon post. We here at The Tech Fixation wish all former THQ employees the best in their future endeavors.
I am personally also glad that great franchises like Saint's Row and The Stick of Truth will stick around to see the light of day.
