Sergey Brin Spotted Wearing the Google Glass

by Caleb Smith

The anticipated Google Glass has made a public appearance this weekend in the NYC subway - worn by none other than Google's co-founder, Sergey Brin. Noah Zerkin, an augmented reality enthusiast, spotted Brin sitting across the subway from him and managed to snap a picture of him. According to his Twitter feed, he also managed to speak with him.

"Yeeeah... I just had a brief conversation with the most powerful man in the world. On the downtown 3 train. Nice guy." Zerkin also attached the above photo with the post. Although Zerkin would have loved to see a demonstration, he remarked "I suspect that even the most powerful man in the world can't get signal in the NYC subway."

Their brief conversation never ventured into professional topics, according to Zerkin. "Come to think of it, perhaps I should've mentioned my projects to Mr. Brin. Or given him my card. Derp. [...] He has no idea who I am. It's a funny universe like that." While Noah Zerkin may not have gotten his big break with his tech exploits, he's shown that the Google Glass is possibly getting field tests in the public, most likely preparing for the Glass Foundry events later this month in San Fransisco and New York City. Glass Foundry will allow the lucky few who signed up for the Glass Explorers program last year in the I/O developer conference an opportunity to access the Glass with developer tools.

The Glass Foundry events will be in San Fransisco on January 28-29, and in NYC on Febuary 1-2.
