RIM keeps no secrets

RIM iskeeping busy these days! Recently they have made it known that on January 30th,they will hold their BlackBerry 10 platform conference.  The goal is to Officially announce the newand improved platform and to give a basic training course.  The word “torrent” has been thrown aroundquite a bit lately with the RIM topics. It is becoming more and more apparent that they can’t keep their mouthsshut!

It has beensaid that some of their new hardware will feature a new touchscreen with 356ppipixel density.  More detailed specsfeature a Snapdragon S4 chipset and 1800mAh battery and various software basedchanges.  Such as, brand newgesture-based UI and “best in class” HTML5 browser to the BlackBerry Worldstore, along with 70 thousand apps, 20 million songs at the day 1 launch.
All fourmajor cellular providers have separately come forward with statements confirmingthat they will support the BB10 OS.  Theyhave said that they are excited about RIM and the recent decisions for such bigchange.

While theboys behind all of these changes are spilling the beans about BB10, we haveheard that they have also gotten the final approval needed to implement NFC(Near Field Communication) Payments, using VISA.  I didn’t think that this was a subject thatwas difficult to achieve a “Go ahead”. Apparently, the dev’s for the BlackBerry 10 OS had to jump through hoopsto make it happen.
