Activision’s next Call of Duty title is reportedly called Call of Duty: Ghosts and will be made by Infinity Ward instead of Treyarch. The rumor comes via YouTube user Drift0r who claims that a “very legitimate” source provided him with information regarding the game’s announcement, modes and much more. Remember to take this rumour with a huge dose of salt.
The game's announcement should be around May 1 according to Drif0r.
Here are some of the footnotes:
- Call of Duty: Ghosts
- Story set in the future, but uses current weaponry.
- MP loading screens are now dynamic (e.g. repel from heli into the map).
- Player movement now has dash into sliding while moving, and you can shoot while sliding.
- Peeking around corners is back. Can roll side to side DayZ-style while prone.
- Spec Ops is being entirely replaced by some new mini game.
- More destructive/interactive environments (like Battlefield, but not nearly as much - think water in Hydro).
- Only rumor from this pile of info - CoD: Ghosts will only be on the next generation consoles and PC. No 360/PS3.
