Yoda Could Be a Standalone Star Wars Film

Amidst all the rumours about Star Wars Episode VII there is but another project in the air and it is that of a standalone film. Rumours suggest that the "first" standalone Star Wars film *could be based on Yoda, the epitome of the Jedi Order.

Other characters have been brought up; Joe Johnson and Kevin Smith both want a Boba Fett film and Robert Rodriguez has stated a personal interest in a Han Solo film. There's even rumour of a Jabba the Hutt saga. I choose Yoda; in my opinion there is no other worthy of their own movie.

Yoda was already in his 900s when Luke found him on Dagobah. This Jedi trained everyone, I mean everyone: Dooku, Qui-gon, Obi-wan, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Quinlan Vos, Ki-adi Mundi, and every youngling to enter the Jedi temple on Coruscant.

Yoda lived for 9 centuries; he has many stories to tell and his life is full of adventure, morals, action, knowledge, and entertainment. Truth be told, Yoda is a legend in the Star Wars universe for his lightsaber skills, his intelligence, and his extremely high midichlorian count only matched/bested by Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Palpatine/Darth Sidious, and Galen Marek/Starkiller.

Yoda is a fan favorite and his age could bring forth a plethera of stories from decades before the Battle of Yavin.
