Serellan used Kickstarter to create a prototype for a tactics-based FPS that emodied the best parts of the original Rainbox Six and Ghost Recon games that actually needed strategy, patience, and attention to detail to complete successfully.
Publisher 505 Games today announced that it has picked up the tactical FPS and will release it later this year under the name Takedown: Red Sabre.
As if good news couldn't get any better Takedown developmemnt is headed by Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter design lead Christian Allen, with the team including veterans from the Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and SOCOM series, and a smattering of other big-name FPSs. This is sounding like perfection.
Serellan planned PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases but 505 has only said that it'll hit "multiple platforms."
Good luck Serellan and I hope this perfect situation turns out for the best. I can remember Rainbow Six on N64 just like it was yesterday.
