[UPDATE] Kotaku confirms this is the real deal. This is a prototype of the "Orbis" controller. Final design may vary.
AGB offers no description, no caption, and no source. Take this is the biggest grain of salt in the Sony sodium ocean...but the controller looks legit.

ReplyDeleteIt's strange looking device but more likely a track pad like the back of the PSVita. Sorry Dexter but Richard's called it right. Also PSMove bar at top. Speaker grill is likely a Mic & headphone jack underneath. Elongated handles. Sticks looks like they're from a cheap Madcats pad. I still think it could be a fake.
DeleteYour prediction may still come true. That track pad may well be hinged. Take a closer look at the official press photos, also look at the material used on the underside of the pad. Intersting doing you think, possibly a conductive surface not just visually pleasing. The image above IS a fairly early working prototype.
