The Wall Street Journal started reporting this morning that Apple has begun production on a new tablet, which is smaller than its 9.7-inch iPad. Some of the informants, two to be precise, are claiming that it will have a 7.85 inch screen with a lower resolution than the current iPad. This would make the "iPad Mini" slightly larger than the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7.
