'Bastion' creators reveal new game

Supergiant Games, creator of the popular indie game Bastion, announced today their next game, titled Transistor.
"In Transistor, players assume the role of a young woman who gains control of a powerful weapon after a mysterious group of assailants nearly kills her with it," said Greg Kasavin, a writer and designer on Supergiant's team. "Now she must fight from street to street against forces that will stop at nothing to recover the weapon."
The game is being described as a "science-fiction-themed action RPG," set in a futuristic world where "everyone has a voice."
The reveal trailer shows a point-of-view very similar to that of Bastion, but the combat system and art style seem to be very unique to this new title. Supergiant has confirmed that the game will be playable at PAX East. They expect the game to be released in 2014, and have not yet decided on what platforms it will come out for.
Keep up to date on Supergiant and Transistor through their Twitter and Facebook pages.

  1. I hope they slap some trophies on that thing and put it on the Vita. Bastion is fun for iPhone, but the lack of buttons is cumbersome.
