'Pokemon X' and 'Y' announced

The next two games in the gaming giant franchise Pokemon were announced this morning. Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be coming out October 2013 worldwide for the 3DS, breaking some trends for Game Freak, the game's developer, while continuing others.
For one, this will be the first round of Pokemon to have it's international releases close together, something that is usually separated by at least a few months. Also, this round of games has finally broken the color streak of Pokemon game names, from Red and Blue to Black and White, Pokemon games have always had a color associated with them, but apparently no more.
However, some things never change. Players will have a choice to pick between three starter Pokemon - Froakie, Fennekin and Chespin, Water, Fire, and Grass-types respectively.
For a closer look at the recently announced games, check out the video above. Pokemon X and will only work on the 3DS, not any other type of DS, so looks like it's finally time to grab one if you haven't already.
