Yesterday we reported that Ubisoft announced that a new Assassin’s Creed title will release in the next fiscal year with a new character, new era, new area.
That time frame would put "ACIV" anywhere from October this year to September of 2014 but it might be sooner than you think.
A user on Reddit stated he was sitting next to a lady working on marketing strategies for several game titles. One of them was "Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flags", with title screen and all and aiming for a Holiday 2013 release according to the presentation slide. Unfortunately, the user didn’t get a picture of the screen but he says it was the honest truth.
This is the "first" rumour on this newly announced project so take this with a desert of sand but lets just imagine a pirate themed Assassin's Creed set in the Golden Age of 1600's... makes your Eagle Sense tingle. Pirate lore and history is richly detailed, entertaining, and popular so it wouldn't be a difficult job to flesh out a story.
I'm still wishing for Fuedal Japan.
