Dead Man Down is a film I have been waiting for and highly anticipating. Not only does it star a personal favorite of mine, Colin Farrell, but it also stars a Hollywood crush of mine in that of Noomi Rapace. It's a revenge tale filled with hitmen and I love me some vengeance killing. To top it all off the violent film is directed by Niels Arden Oplev, the director of the Millennium trilogy. You may recognize the name of the first film because it was remade, quite disasterously, with Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara; The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but the original trilogy was a masterpiece and starred Noomi Rapace herself. I reccomend you watch the Millennium Trilogy.
Niels Arden Oplev’s Dead Man Down, stars Colin Farrell as a hitman out for revenge. The new image below shows just how serious Victor (Farrell) is about his business as it features what will prove to be a brutal torture scene.
Things get complicated for Victor when he is seduced by one of his mob boss’s former victims (Noomi Rapace) who blackmails him into helping her exact her own vengeance.
Also starring Dominic Cooper and Terrence Howard, Dead Man Down opens March 8th.
Here’s the synopsis for Dead Man Down:
From FilmDistrict, DEAD MAN DOWN is an action thriller that stars Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace as two strangers whose mutual desire for revenge draws them together and triggers an escalating trail of mayhem. The film, which also stars Academy Award Nominee® Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper, marks the American theatrical debut of director Niels Arden Oplev (the original The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo).
