During an investors call today, Blizzard delayed their upcoming release Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm until 2013.
With the beta opening early September, players were hoping that the game would be able to squeeze in this year. But unfortunately, they'll have to wait while Blizzard continues "working hard towards a first half 2013 launch," said CEO Mike Morhaime, according to a post on Joystiq.
With many players worried about the stagnation and decline of the Starcraft community, delaying the game even further will only serve to encourage the game's pessimists.
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty is currently available on PC and Mac.
