Warner Brothers has confirmed this movie is already in pre-production. Kevin Tancharoen who directed the youtube series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy, will be bringing his vision of the series to the big screen. Warner Brothers has also revealed the budget of the film is between $40 and 50 million. There's no confirmed plot, but rumors suggest the film may follow "a supermarket employee who discovers he has otherworldly powers and must make the ultimate choice between fighting for the side of good or evil."
There is also no word on if the film will include characters and actors from the webseries. With that said there's no confirmation on if the series is a standalone project and the film will be set in a different time-frame or universe. -Daniel, Jedi Editor *51
