The Vertu Ti, the latest model in the obnoxiously expensive line of smart phones, has been leaked. Is there a better way to show off your pompous personality by flashing one of these around your friends? Probably, but lets talk details about the Vertu Ti.
The specs of the upcoming phone, are not spectacular, at best, the specs are for a mid-range smart phone on the current market but then again, that was never Vertu’s main selling point. Here is what is known so far about the The Vertu Ti (model number RM-828V) specs:
1.5 GHz Snapdragon MSM8260A SoC
800 x 480 resolution display
NFC chip
Bluetooth 4.0
1,250 mAh battery
WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 radio
Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Front-facing and back-facing camera
Regardless of the specs (and the suprising 1250 mAh battery), the phone is said to come at a jaw-dropping price of around $10,000 (€7440 in the current exchange rate, or roughly 11 Sony Xperia Zs).
Its main feature, as any luxury phone on the market is not its hardware specifications, but the design of the phone and the materials used. Break out your whale and baby seal skin wallets fellas.
The Vertu Ti will come in four variants: Titanium Black PVD black leather, Red Gold Mixed Metal, Titanium Black Leather and Titanium Black Alligator (visible in tge pictures below). The screen will be protected by a sapphire display. If you thought your phone is scratch free because you have a Gorilla Glass 2 screen, think again. This display can be scratched only by a diamond. Now, you won’t have to worry about that unless you have a pile of diamonds on your living room table or you horde them in your pockets.
Well, the Vertu Ti smart phone will be definitely something to look at, with its titanium casing, Alligator skin-covered back (if you choose that variant) and classic premium Vertu look. Since the phone will be presented at the MWC 2013 this month, more details will be revealed.
If you like to wear tacky loafers without socks, Hawaiian shirts, and gold-chain necklaces the Vertu Ti seems right up your ally. Im sure there are car chargers made out of emeralds and infant reindeer tears so you can text and drive hap-hazardly in your Lamborghini or Ferrari with Unicorn hide interior and still enjoy your Vertu Ti.
