Nintendo's Virtual Console for Wii U

During the Nintendo Direct Video released today, Satoru Iwata unveiled all sorts of things that have the attention of many gamers.  One aspect of the announcement that caught my eye was the Virtual Console.  Nintendo has official announced that it will be coming to the Wii U in April.  From the Launch, it will only offer NES and SNES games.  These specific titles will cost the consumer $5-$6 for any NES title, as the SNES games will run $8-$9.  He goes on to mention that if you already own any of these hits on the original Wii, you are up for a major discount on the newly upgraded VC.

The E-shop games offer a few different abilities that are to die for!  Gamers can save their progress, the ability to play your games on the game pad, and now everyone will be posting their game stats to a MiiVerse Community Blog.

30th Anniversary

Nintendo, at 6 o'clock this morning, reminded us of the 30th Anniversary celebration for the Family Computer.  To celebrate, they have launched a Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign.  This means that they are releasing a new game everyday until July for a whopping 30 Cents a pop.
